Love isn’t always about loving somebody else… it’s also about loving yourself
We’ve been in mercury retrograde in Pisces, and it’s been one hell of a time. It was like I was on the tower of terror, you know the one at Disneyland, going up and up and up; I was so excited. I was making progress, I had balance in my life, things were looking good, and then I got to the top and looked out to see the beautiful scenery, and then BOOM! It dropped.
Retrograde in Pisces brought back old relationships, old habits, old triggers, old situations, and old laundry I thought I had aired. I felt trapped until I realized this laundry was already washed; I don’t have to feed into the past. Sure there were tears, lots of them in fact, but it was all a test. It was a test to see if I’m still the person I was before, and this gloomy stint made me realize I’m not.
I’m not that person; those people and situations can’t affect me anymore. I learned my lessons and the knowledge I gained going through all of those trials have made me into who I am today, and who I am today is strong.
We change with the seasons, and change for a reason, but why?
The saying “when a flower doesn’t bloom you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower” by Alexander Den Heijer seems relevant to both the flower and I. Sometimes it’s getting too much water, and sometimes not enough. Sometimes it’s in too hot of a climate, and sometimes too cold. A flower can only grow where it feels nurtured and loved. Though unlike the simplicity of flowers, humans are a bit more complicated than that.
For a person to grow emotionally, physically, and spiritually one must go through trials and uncomfortable environments. This is because unlike flowers we can uproot and move. We are constantly moving. but in those moments of pain and suffering it may emulate a sense of over-watering, but from that over-watering we discover how much water we need in order to grow.
Everybody is a different flower, and everyday we are continuously discovering new details depicting what kind of flower we are. So, as we change our environments and surround ourselves with love and peace, we find balance. We have balance between heat and moisture to grow and become the flower we were destined to be.
Nature had it right utilizing the downpour to renew itself.
So like the flowers in the spring, we bloom. The first day of Spring is here, mercury retrograde is ending, and the clouds are clearing up once again revealing radiant sunshine. It’s important to learn from the past and be grateful for retrogrades and past experiences because it shows us where we’re not meant to be and how far we’ve come.
In those situations it’s easy to feel small, powerless, and unattractive. In those cases it was easy to come to those conclusions because the bud was only visible. The potential to blossom into the flower that was meant to be wasn’t a choice, but it is now. Those situations are long gone and the sun has come again. That bud is blossoming. Petals are revealing vibrant and energetic colors. It’s time to spring forward and bloom.
